Karen Howe "officially" started Embroidery Plus in 2005.  Although, she started doing commercial embroidery in 1989.  Karen worked for a small embroidery company and found that she loved everything about the business. Karen started out working on a 12-head machine and several single heads when she began.
Karen eventually started her own company in a bedroom of her home with a single head machine.  It grew into the dining room and quickly completely overtook the space! 
The business outgrew the "dining room" and moved to the new retail location in January, 2008.  We love the new shop and enjoy meeting all our new customers.
In Feb., 2008 Karen taught a seminar on "How to Develop A Profitable Embroidery Business" in Moscow, Russia.  That was an experience of a lifetime!  The Russian people are very loving and giving.  Karen learned as much or more than she taught!
In April, 2008 Karen did "on-site" embroidery at the "Fun and Sun" Air Show in Florida. 
Embroidery Plus is a very diversified business and emphasizes all the different aspects of embellishing for our customers.
